*Massmedias tjafs om ras

Wow, va trött jag är av att ständigt höra "Om Obama vinner USA-valet blir han den förste svarte presidenten i USA". Mediaapparaten tycks vara full av skit, säger jag. Ja, Barack Obama har, som mycket riktigt påtalats (inte minst av media), en svart far från Kenya.

Men, precis som jag själv, har Barack ju faktiskt också en lika stor vit bakgrund. Varför framhävs inte detta i samma utsträckning som hans svarta biologiska arv? Men ännu konstigare är att Barack utifrån hans föräldrars biologiska arv och hudfärg resulterar i att mannen är svart. Punkt. Om man får tro massmedians eviga predikningar.

Jag menar, rent biologiskt, borde rimligtvis inte svart och vit bli en nyans av grå (inte samma svarta eller vita färg). Jag vet inte, avgör ni. Men det tål att tänkas på i alla fall.

Men framförallt, varför har vi överhuvudtaget en diskussion om svart eller vit? Varför inte bara fokusera på det som förenar oss istället på det som särskiljer oss? Kan vi inte lämna hudfärgen därhän för att istället inrikta oss på vad som finns innanför skallbenet. Och rent historiskt så är det ju inte speciellt mycket som skiljer en demokrat från en republikan. Same same, but different... Jag hoppas att jag har fel. Historien lär ge svar...

Wow, I'm so sick and tired of hearing "If Obama wins the election he would be the first black president ever elected". Sometimes it seems as if the media is so full of crap. Yes, Barack has (like the media so correctly announced a millions of times) a father from Kenya.

Just as in my own case, Barack too has an equal percentage of a white biological heritage. Why isn't that announced just as much as his black biological heritage? But even more strange is that in the end this makes Barack a black man. Well, if you were to believe what the media is preaching...

I mean, from a biological point of view, doesn't black and white end up being grey (or just not the same black or white color as were the case from the beginning). I don't know, you decide. But think about it for a second.

But most important, why is it so important having this discussion about black and white in the first place? Why not focus on what we all have in common instead of what seperates us. Can't we just leave the color of our skin behind and focus on what's inside the cranium. And from a historical perspective, there aren't so many differences between a democrat and a republican. Same same, but different... but I hope I'm wrong. History ought to tell...
